National Service Scheme (NSS)

The NSS unit paves way for the younger generation to render service thro' service camps at nearby villages to educate the villager on issues related to their welfare, medical camps and service to the general community on request from civic authorities.

Red Ribbon Club (RRC)

The RRC is started to create awareness among the student community on AIDS & HIV. It is run by our Institute with the guidance of Tamil Nadu State Aids Control Society.

Our Colleges have student body comprising of students hailing from a background of ten years of instruction in Tamil. It has been observed that many students have reached the college level with a built in fear and in some cases a visible aversion for the English language. For aspiring students in any field efficient and effective communication has become the try word for success. It is non mandatory that knowledge of spoken English and the ability to communicate well is taken seriously as an important tool not only the widening of horizons but also in climbing up the ladder.

Student Academic Cell

The students' Academic Cell is a unique body constituted to look into the interests and concerns of the student. The cell comprises of four students from a class; two students who are above average in performance and two below. A meeting is conducted twice a semester in the Presence of the Principal, Head of the Department and the class tutor, in addition to the SAC members.

The general aspect of the teaching-learning process in the current semester is taken up for discussion. Subsequent counseling or red renal is made and any genuine request or grievance is taken care of.

Parent – staff meet

Recognizing that the parents have an important role to play in the well being of their ward, every department conducts a parent meet once a semester. The parents interact with the class tutor, subject teacher, HOD and Principal to ascertain the progress of their child. Parents are intimated earlier on the date and time of the meeting. If, due to unforeseen circumstance, they are enable to attend at the specified time / date they are required to meet the staff concerned within a week and also complete the formalities.

Due importance is given to the various comments and suggestions of the parents. This exercise highlights the joint responsibility of the parent and staff for the general welfare of the student

Industrial Visit

Academic excellence and all round development of the students' personality are the main objectives of the institutions. The students should acquire practical knowledge to some extent. Therefore in addition to university curriculum, the college arranges for industrial visit to various companies, corporations, etc. to expose the students to field problems and to create an industrial awareness among them. Our students are visiting, software companies, paper mills, sugar mills, chemical companies, foundries.
